Ahhhh... Match made in heaven!

Okay, First off...I am not Going to lie... I totally stole this pic off Facebook! lol

This couple..... were....ahhh... so perfect for eachother. This is a couple that I was SO thrilled watch and help become husband and wife, because I knew this realtionship was going to stand the test of time!

The day was GORGEOUS, although it had rained in the AM.... I promised them both that the sun would be shining for them...and I knew it would be because as I told B & N.... I told Mother Nature to "eff" off! And she listened!

The quaint reception was held at the Moose Lodge. I got to once again get to know my clients on a more intimate level by listening to their speeches, and what their loved oes had to say!

I had to cut it short though because I needed to get back to Edmonton for my ambulance practicum.

I am SO thrilled to Congratulate Brad & Noreen on their wonderful marriage!

ALL the HAPPINESS in the world to you both...'cause you freakin deserve it! xoxoxo

Its been a while!

Well I have not been active on my blog for some time..... WHY???

because I decided to pursue another passion of mine... MEDICINE!

In September 2009 I began the Paramedic Program at the Medicine Hat College.

I have completed my first year, including a one month ambulance practicum in Sherwood Park!

I can work as a temporary EMT until I write the provincial registration exam in October 2010.

Upon successful completion of that exam, I can work in Alberta as an Emergency Medical Technician.

Don't worry though... I still intend to do Wedding Coordinating as well!!!!

YAY....there was no rain! Although it was forecast for it!

Again, such a beautiful bride! The groom wasn't too bad either! lol

Pastor Shane was a pleasure to work with as well!

This wedding party was a BLAST to work with! I hope I have the pleasure of getting more client's like these ones ;o)

WOW, what a day!

The sun was out, and it was HOT!!!

The wedding party all looked great, especially the bride! I still don't know how she has such a beautiful figure after having triplets!

Everything went beautifully!

My favourite part? My favourite part was the MC's and the bride & groom's Thank You's.

I LOVE getting to know my client's on a whole other level, through the speeches!

It's true! 

I have been SWAMPED between Wedding Planning & Catering, I haven't even had time to think about blogging! 

So everything is GREAT. 

I have aninsanely busy summer, and then I expect to be kept quite busy with Christmas parties in the winter. 

Life is Good!

I & K were married on the most romantic day of the year! What a lucky couple to have Valentine's Day fall on a Saturday! 

They are truly meant for each other! I was so excited to be a part of their wonderful day! 

MADCHEN STUDIO'S did the photography and I am super excited to see the pictures! 

A Wedding in Jamaica?

So, as I posted previously, the family and I went to Jamaica for 10 days. 

It was truly amazing! 

We went to Sunset Beach Resort and Spa, and I peeked in the window of their wedding coordinator's office, and it is SO nice! I wish my office looked like that! haha

Anyway, here is a picture of the gazebo...there is a woman getting a massage in it. 

I could just imagine a bride walking down the aisle to this location.....

ahhh.... so romantic! 

WEDDING SCAM...

Even in "small town" Medicine Hat you can be targeted by international scammers. 

I have on two separate occasions now received emails from men from the UK claiming that they want a lavish wedding here in Canada, and they want me to plan it.

They are too willing to send me THOUSANDS of dollars to do this.....yeah okay! 

I do enjoy pretending that I believe them, but I don't! 

So to all of you out there that are in the Wedding industry...please beware! 

Not much to update

Well there really isn't much to update as far as business is concerned! 

In my personal life, I am so excited to be heading to Jamaica in December! 

YUP, I am taking all 3 kiddo's too...

SO, I will be gone from Dec09-Dec20....

I simply can not wait!  I will post pictures upon our return! PROMISE!! 

2009 Wedding Season....

It appears to me that I am going to have a VERY busy year ahead. 

I am already booking up most of my weekends in the summer.....

Spoke Too Soon

Recently I posted that inquires for Wedding Planning were decreased. 

This is no longer the case! 

It seems people are starting to get anxious for their summer weddings! 

I am really looking forward to working with some new clients! 

WELCOME WAGON BRIDAL SHOW

Today was the Welcome Wagon Bridal Show.

I decided not to put my business in, but I went as moral support for my pal Tara! 

She is an AMAZING cake decorator! 

Anyway, because I was not a paying vendor, I decided it would be highly inappropriate to try an promote my businesses. I did however get to network with a few other vendors which was nice. 

It was so nice to see all the brides-to-be! They were all so excited to be planning their weddings. 

I hope to be able to work with some of those women to make their days even more special! 

Booking New Clients....

Well, I must say that now that the summer is over, it seems that the number of inquiries I have received are way down ;o(

I have to admit though, most people do contact me about 3 months before their weddings, you know, when they are in full panic mode!

I hope to fill up my summer with new clients!
Also, I really hope I can get a couple of weddings for the Fall! I absolutely love fall weddings!

Their wedding was at the Bayshore Inn, which I would recommend again!

Karen & Travis' wedding 26Jul2008

Karen & Travis' Wedding in Kananaskis was beautiful! 

The day was wonderful, the meal was AMAZING!!!! 

The bride & groom looked so happy! 

I would say it was a success!!

When planning a wedding the prices seem to soar!

My goal as a wedding planner has always been to get my clients what they want at a reasonable price!

I took some engagement shots for my clients Lani & Tyler.....they were great (my clients, the pics were good too, lol) 

I wish I could dedicate more of my time to this hobby. I know however that there are more talented than I out there, and I don't think I have the extra time to devote to it ;o(

I had fun though, and L & T were fun too!

Met with Laura tonight

I met with Laura Hit tonight, a fellow Wedding Planner (Noteworthy Designs) here in the Hat, and I must say, I really enjoyed our visit! 

I gained a lot of insight from talking to Laura and I would certainly recommend her as a replacement to myself ;oP

I hope to be able to work with her more in the future!

My Assistant

Well, I have been so busy that I have decided to hire an assistant. 

Her name is Aryanna. 

She is fantastic! 

Did I mention she is my 8 year old daughter???

That's right, she has been promoted to Co-Planner...however the pay isn't very good! 

LOL

My summer...

So, this summer is going to be a busy one! 

I have three clients getting married this summer, two of which I have to travel for. 

Kananaskis in July for Karen & Travis & 

Waterton in August for Shannon & Jamie! 

I am looking forward to two mountain weddings! 

And so we begin!
